BORACAY WEDDING IDEAS Ways to personalize your destination wedding at Boracay on the beautiful white sands beach.
- Arras
- The Arras is a wedding tradition found in many Hispanic cultures, especially in Latin America. The word "arras" means "earnest money" in Spanish. It is a statement of trust by the groom to his bride.
Thirteen gold coins are used in this tradition. Some say they represent the 12 disciples and Jesus. There is a lot of information on the Internet about the Arras and you can modify the tradition to reflect your love for each other.
This tray is also a very tiny photo frame so it's a wonderful way to personalize your ceremony. Have your "coin bearer" proudly carry it down the aisle, or simply place it near the altar for use during the ceremony. The golden tray measures approximately 3.5", thirteen arras coins are included.
- Sand Ceremony
- The Sand Ceremony was developed on the beach for two reasons: it is similar to the Unity Candle; and, it creates a very lovely visual reminder of the place where you exchanged marriage vows.
- Acknowledgements
- Even if special people in your lives cannot be present, you may choose to take a moment in the ceremony to acknowledge their contribution to your lives. This is especially meaningful if you have your ceremony videotaped.
- Videotaping
- In most cases there will be people who cannot be with you at your wedding. Videotaping is essential not only for your future memories but for other important people to share that moment with you.
- Webcasting
- This is an idea whose time is coming quickly: webcasting your ceremony live for those who could not make the trip. There are so many ways this can be done now.
